CORRESPONDENCE.

(to the editor.) Sir, —I was glad to notice that a public holiday was kept on St. Patrick’s Day, and as an Englishman I am hoping that St. George’s Day will be observed in a similar manner. St. George’s Day is a Bank holiday and will be observed on Monday, as St. George’s Day lalls this year on a Sunday. It is delightful to see the patriotism of the Sons of Ireland, let the Sons of England show some enthusiasm and keep the festival of England’s patron saint.—l am, etc., Englishman.
