ALLEGED LIBEL.
A writ has been Esued by Mr S. Jickell, Borough Engineer, against the Manawatu Daily Times, claiming ,£3OO damages for alleged libel, said to be contained iu the report of an address delivered on borough matters by Mr J. Robertson, one of the candidates for a seat on the council. Mr F. H. Cooke issued the writ on behalf of Mr Jickell.
