Sydney, March 26. The final of the Paramatta “ Hundred ” was rowed over the championship coiuse yesterday and resulted; W. Ripely (Newcastle), 65-sec, ,i ; Norman Towns (Newcastle), 2fisec, 2; F. S. Hagney (Gladesville). scratch, 3. Ripely, who was the limit man finished seven lengths to the good. Hagney and N. Towns made a good showing, and were close together at the finish. Theo. Towns, (Newcastle), 3osec, was fourth. W. Fogwell made a disappointing effort, due to indisposition The consolation race, the Scullers’ Handicap, resulted : Hugh McKinnon (Clarence river), 48 sec, 1 ; C. Messenger (Double Bay), 28sec, 2 ; J. Arnst (New Zealand), 26sec, 3, won by two lengths. Arnst, shaping well, pushed Messenger closely for second place. R. Arnst (New Zealand) did not start.
