MORE TROUBLE IN WALES.
POLICE DISPERSE RIOTERS. London, March 23. There has been another serious outbreak of trouble in the Glamorganshire colliery district. A mass meeting of miners condemned the executive for arranging a ballot upon the masters’ terms because the British Miners’ Federation had threatened to stop strike pay. A crowd of strikers, accompanied by many women, marched to the Cambrian Combine’s mine in the Clydach Vale, took possession of an adjacent hill, rolled boulders into the colliery, and tried to set fire to some ricks.
Police, armed with batons, made several charges, but were repulsed by volleys ot stones. Finally, by a flank attack, they dislodged the rioters, who fled to Tonypaudy. Many persons were injured, and two policemen suffered serious hurts.
