PORTFOLIOS REARRANGED.
DURING PREMIER’S ABSENCE. Auckland, March 6. In view of the departure of Sir Joseph Ward and Dr. Findlay, the Cabinet portfolios have been rearranged. The Hon. J. Carroll, will be Acting-Premier, and in addition to his own portfolios will be Minister in charge ot the Crown Daw, Advances to Settlers, Electoral and .National Annuities Departments. The Hon. J. Millar takes charge of the Treasury, Friendly Societies, State Guaranteed Advances and Eand and Income Tax. The Hon. G. Fowlds will take the portfolois of Defence, Justice, Police, Prisons, and Public Health. The Hon. T. Mackenzie, Post and Telegraph, Advertising, and State Forests. Hon. R. M’Keuzie, Customs, Hon. D. Buddo, Eand for Settlement and Eand Settlers Finance.
