CRICKET.
The local Association’s competition for the Austin Shield will be continued to-morrow afternoon, when teams from the Himatangi and Foxton Clubs will meet on the Park pitch. The local team will be represented by the following :—Robinson, Evans, Bullard, Clingberg, Howe, Munro, Knewstub, Watson, Edhn, Ward, and Whibley.
The positions of the different players in the competition for the bat presented by Mr H. S. Munro for the best batting average and the ball presented by Mr W. S. Stewart for the best bowling average, are as under: — BATTING.
FOXTON SCHOOL v. HIMATANGI SCHOOL. A team from the Foxton School journeyed to Himatangi on Saturday last, and tried conclusions with the Himatangi boys, the visitors proving their superiority over the home team to the tune of eight wickets. The following are the individual scores ; —•
