HARVEST FESTIVAL AND FAREWELL.

Harvest Festival services will be held to-morrow in the local Methodist Church. The interior of the building will be decorated with fruit and vegetables. Among the gifts will be a large loaf donated by Mr M. Perreau and a cake by Mr Evans, both of which will occupy the centre of the table. A model corn stack, built by Mr Judd, of Shannon, will also occupy a place of prominence in the decorations. Sermons appropriate to the occasion will be preached morning and afternoon by Mr J. Chrystall. In the evening the Rev. P. J. Mairs will preach a farewell sermon, subject, “ Things that remain.” Sale of fruit and vegetables, also a farewell meeting will be held on Monday evening, at 7.30 o’clock.
