PRESENTATION TO FATHER KELLY.

The Catholics of Shannon considered the vehicle used by their pastor unsuitable, and this week presented him with a pony, a sulky, a set of harness and travelling out-lit. b'ather Kelly, in thanking the people of that part of his parish for their generosity, referred to the kindness he has experienced ever since he came to the district. He alluded to the social held at Shannon to bid farewell to the zealous and selfsacriticiug priests who ministered there for many years, and to give him a welcome. He told them how he treasured the suitable present given on that occasion. He assured them that the esteem and reverence there shown the priests reminded him ot Home friends, and the good impression then formed has strengthened, and each time he visits Shannon he is reminded of the many claims his Shannon parishioners have on his gratitude.
