THE CORONATION.

N.Z. CONTINGENT PROBABLE. As there are so many applications from members of the Dominion Defence Forces to form a voluntary Coronation contingent, each paying his own expenses, the Government has decided to allow a contingent to be sent under the following conditions: — 1. Each member to find bis own passage by any route to and from England. 2. Supply his own uniform. 3. To report to the High Commissioner, London, during first week in June, at least, earlier if possible. 4. No pay will be granted. 5. To be under military law while acting as a contingent. 6. Applications must be made through O.C. districts, who will report on same and forward to headquarters. A letter of reccommendation to the High Commissioner will then be forwarded ; a copy will also be sent to applicant. pounds (,£2O) will be granted as an allowance for uniform and equipment, payable in London by the High Commissioner. No other charge against the Government to be incurred. This allowance is, however, limited to 60 members.
