ILLICIT GAMBLING.
Wanganui, Feb. 2. The Club stables were raided by the police to-day. A man named John Farrell was arrested on a charge ot keeping a common gaming house. He will also be charged with frequenting the street lor the purpose ot betting. This is the first action taken by the local police under the new Gaming Act.
