Gisborne, Jan. 27. A Maori woman at Tolago Bay, named Moure Pikepike, who was badly scalded eight days ago by a tin of boiling water upsetting, died yesterday. Dannevirke, Jan. 27. A settler at Umutaoroa, named James Gilmour, an elderly man, committed suicide by hanging. Deceased returned from a trip Home last year. Latterly he has been in poor health and showing signs of mental failure. Attention is directed to a replace advertisement from Mr F. Gabites which appears elsewhere in this issue.
