A team from the local club paid Levin a visit yesterday in search of the Manawatu Ferns, and alter a hard-n ught tussle secured the coveted trophies. The rinks were as follows ; I.KVIN. FOXTON. Wilson Woods Roe Her.nessy Palmer Rimmer Hankins (s) 19 Witcbell (s) 21 The local club is not to be allowed to remain in indisputed possession for long, as Terrace End have challenged them to play on Wednesday next. Owing to this engagement the club Feathers will be played for on Saturday next, at 3 o’clock. Players are requested to hustle for the Bowls Competition. All those not played by 31st instant will be struck out. Local bowlers speak in warm terms of the splendid hospitality extended to them by the Levin Club yesterday.
