THE MILITARY TOURNAMENT.
Arrangements in connection with the Military Tournament to be held at Palmerston North on Saturday and Monday next are well in hand, and everything points to this year’s display being better than any of the previous ones. Niue teams have entered for the Lloyd-I.indsay, and this competition will probably be the keenest of all the events. The committee have acceeded to the wish of the general public, and are running the mounted events off earlier than in former years. Fourteen of the Wairaariuo Mounted Rifles with their horses, and the Waikato Mounted Rifles, have arrived. The committee of the Military Tournament have kindly consented to the request from the District Commander of the Dominion Boy Scouts, Mr M. A. Elliot, that the boys be admitted free to the tournament. The Boy Scouts will parade in uniform without staves at the baud rotunda at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday, and on Monday at 9.30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
