BOWLING.

The bowling green, despite counter attractions, was fairly well patronised yesterday. In the early part of the afternoon an enjoyable game was played between rinks skipped by Messrs Walker and ’Woods. The latter’s rink won by the narrow margin of two points.

Until some trophies are offered for club competitions, members will not evince that keenness which is so noticeable in older clubs. We understand the secretary has received a communication from a member offering trophies which should stimulate the colts to greater activity.
