A BELATED ARREST.
Tauranga, November 30. Alfred E. Scott, employed on the Tauranga-Te Puke railway, was arrested this morning ou a warrant of commitment for assault at Wellington on November 28th, 1903. At that time Scott was summoned but did not appear, and the case was dealt with in bis absence. He was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment. For seven years he evaded arrest. Scott has been here for some time. Constable Skinner noticed that he answered the description of a man wanted on warrant, and in making enquiries found that such was the case. Scott will serve his term in Mount Eden gaol.
