CRICKET.

At Brisbane on Saturday, the cricket match South Africa v. Queensland was continued. The weather was fine and the wicket soft. South Africa in their first innings scored 202, the principal scorers being : Faulkner 54, Nource 38, and Llewellyn 31. Queensland’s first innings closed with a total of 145, Marshall 50, Jennings 24, and Fennell 15 being the best. South Africa their second innings very badly, but Zulch and Faulkner came to the rescue, the former making 09 and the latter 73 before being disposed of. When stumps were drawn South Africa had lost 8 wickets for 339 runs.

At Himatangi to-morrow afternood the Foxtou Cricket Club representatives will play their second match against Himatangi. The following team will represent Foxtou:—Bullard, Love, Munro, Cleugberg, Evans, Ward, Howe, Osboldstone Chrystall, McMurray, Robinson, Whibley. The drag will leave the Triangle at x. 30 o’clock sharp.
