JAPANESE DREADNOUGHT.

TO BE BUILT IN ENGLAND. London, Nov. 18. The contract for the Japanese Dreadnought has been given to Messrs Vickers, Sous, and Maxim. It has been stipulated that every portion of the ship shall be built iu England, and that she shall be finished within five years. The Japan naval yards are idle, but it is understood the contract has been placed in England to mark Japanese appreciation of the Anglo-Japanese alliance. A suspicion prevails that Great Britain may purchase the vessel if Germany presses her closely iu the race tor Dreadnoughts.
