DEATH THROUGH A FALL.

Napier, November xB. A man named William Cranny, aged seventy-one, for many years employed by the local branch of the Bank of New Zealand, was accidently killed to-day. He was cleaning the outside of a window on the second storey when the. sash-cord to which he was holding broke. He fell backwards to the ground, sustaining internal in juries aud fracturing the hip joint. He was removed to the hospital, but died shortly afterwards. An inquast will be held to-morrow.
