Mr and Mrs Walls are both natives of Paisley, Scotland, Mrs Walls being a daughter of the late Mr William Allan, merchant of that town. They were married on November 15th IS6O at Londoudeiry, Ireland, and in IS6B Mr Walls emigrated to New Zealand, in the schooner Kliza Fleming, lauding at Port Chalmers. Mrs Walls followed her husband a year later, in the schooner Christian McCossland. For some years they resided in different pans of Otago, eventually coming to Foxton somewhere about 30 years ago and they have resided here ever since. Their family consists of six sons and three daughters and 26 grandchildren.

At the wedding celebration on Tuesday all the family were present as well as a large number of relatives and friends, and a real good time was spent. A very fine wedding cake decorated the table and the usual toasts were honoured. The presents received were numerous and uselul.

Although both Mr and Mrs Walls have both reached very near to the allotted span of “ three score years and ten,” they are still hale and hearty and thoroughly enjoyed themselves at Tuesday’s function.

We have lo acknowledge with thanks receipt of wedding favours.
