HORSE HAS TO BE DESTROYED. Christchurch, Nov. 9. The day's enjoyment at Riccartou was marred by an accident in the Otaio Plate, At the mile post Cullinau fell, bringing down iu turn The Lark, Martist and Bollin. W. Young, rider of The Lark, escaped with a lew scratches, but L. Wilson, rider of Cullinau, had his leg broken ; C. Jeukins, rider of Martist, received a very severe flesh wound in the thigh ; and F. D. Jones, rider of Bollin, bad his collarbone dislocated. Martist was so severely injured that he had to be destroyed, but the other horses were uot seriously injured.
