BLOW FOR BLOW.

PUBEIC HALE TO-MORROW NIGHT.

It should hardly be necessary to remind our readers of the entertainment to be given in the Public Hall to-morrow night by the local amateurs. Those taking part in the production have spared no effort in order to put the drama on as well as possible, and we have no doubt that local people will show their appreciation of their efforts in this direction by rolling up in full force. The proceeds from these entertainments are used for the purchase of scenery and also to supplement the funds of the Athletic Club and assist in providing prize money, etc., for the annual sports gathering, which is always looked forward to by local residents. For such a good object the Society should receive the whole-hearted support of everyone as patrons. In addition to giving assistance in the direction indicated, the public will receive good value for their money. There should not be a vacant seat at eight o’clock to morrow night. The committee express themselves as perfectly satisfied with the prospects of a big house, a fair number of seats having already been booked. Intending patrons would be well advised to have their seats reserved as it costs nothing extra and they will then be certain of getting seats in a good position. It has been advertised that the doors will open at 7.30 p.ra., and a commencement made at 8 o’clock and it is the intention of the committee to keep to their word. The orchestra will strike up right on the stroke of eight, so do not be late.
