PARLIAMENT.
Parliament will begin its seventeenth week this afternoon. The Harbour Amendment Bill and the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Amendment Bill are down tor second readings. When they are disposed of the House will go into committee for the consideration of the following measures in this orderßy-laws Bill, Oaths Bill, Municipal Corporations Bill, and Coal Mines Amendment Bill. The Post and Telegraph Amendment Bill will come on for second reading, and the Aid to Water Power Works Bill will be committed if time permits.
The select committee set up to investigate Mr Hine’s charges of “Tammanyism” has its report ready for presentation to the House, and there is a strong probability that the papers will be brought down this afternoon.
