EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE.
The euchre party and dance held in the Masonic Hall last night, under the auspices of the Albion Football Club, was a financial and social success. The euchre tables were well filled, and about 35 couples occupied the floor for dancing. The boisterous weather prevented a number from attending. Mrs Fred. Robinson won the first prize, and Miss E. Williams the “booby,” and Mr J. Moran the first and Mr F. Davis the “ booby.” The dance music was supplied by Mr F. C. Berthold in his usual first-class manner. Mr T. Curtis carried out the duties of M.C. in a very painstaking manner. During the evening Mr A. Preston contributed a song. The ladies provided an abundance of refreshments. The affair broke up at about 2 am. The secretarial duties were faithfully carried out by Mr P. T. Robiusou who, in connection with an enthusiastic committee, left no stone unturned to ensure the success of the gathering.
