PTOMAINE POISONING.

Auckland, September 26. A fatal case of ptomaine poisoning has occurred in the Mount Roskill district. Mr and Mrs Robert Salmon, with two sons, were spending yesterday afternoon on the Manukau beach, and during the afternoon boiled some pipis in a tin and ate them. The two boys were taken ill, and a doctor was called in. Claude, aged about twelve years, died this morning, and Philip Percy, aged eleven, this evening.
