ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
Auckland, Sept. 14. A dead body found in the harbour has been identified as that of John Raeburn, a resident of Thames, married, aged about 40. He has been missing for some weeks, and disappeared while visiting Auckland. An empty bottle of chlorodyne was found in the bedroom of the boarding-house in which he stayed while here. New Plymouth, Sept. 14. An elderly Maori named Neghangara was killed in a trap accident last night. He left town the worse for liquor. He drove in a gig at a gallop for about a mile, and then he collided with another gig and was thrown out. The horse, attached to the other gig became unmanageable, and backed the vehicle over the Maori, who was badly injured. He succumbed in the hospital a few hours later. Wellington, Sept. 14. Capt. Watson, of the steamer Blenheim, which arrived here this morning, reported to the police that on the trip from Blenheim to Wellington a passenger named Rovell Roliingshaw, a motor engineer, disappeared from the vessel.
