r SPRING MILLINERY AT THE THE BON MARCHE, Palmerston North. Ladies who wish to become familiar with the new styles in MILLINERY for Spring and Summer wear should take an early opportunity of seeing the exhibition of Hats, Toques and Bonnets at the BON MARCPIE. The large hat continues to hold sway, but the bigness is forgotten in the beauty of style and trimming. Tagel, Chip and Leghorn appear to be the favoured straws, and many of the hats are of a shade of amethyst rendered fashionable through the death of King Edward VII. In the trimmings the tendency is towards the small field flowers, such as Cornflower, Hyacinth, Sweet Pea, white Marguerites, Lilacs, Poppies, and Cowslips, but Roses are the most popular of all, and they are mostly in the natural tint. The deft French milliners have made wonderful use of tulles, and some remarkably pretty effects are produced. Ribbons are also largely used in Millinery decorations. We could go on writing of the bewitching beauty of the new millinery, but it can be no pleasure to you to read a mere description.
