Madrid, August 3. Although the Spanish Ambassador to the Vatican has been withdrawn, the Papal Nuncio at Madrid has not, however, been recalled. The authorities say they will not permit a great Roman Catholic demonstration at San Sebastian on Sunday next, .? demonstration in which, it was expected, 70,000 persons would take part. The organisers insist that the demonstration shall be held. The Roman Catholic agitation is spreading to other parts of the country. The King and Queen of Spain are in London on a private visit. Many criticisms have been passed in Madrid on King Alfonso’s conduct in leaving Spain during the present crisis.
