BIG FIGHT WANTED.

New York, July 18,

On behalf of an unnamed fighter Mr MTutosh challenges Johnson, Kaufman, Dang ford, Ketchel, or any other fighter to fight twenty rounds for the biggest purse yet put up. He is posting 5000 dollars forfeit. The contest, if arranged, is to take place in the States, England or Australia.

The boxer whom Mr MTntosh (owner of the Sydney Stadium) is offering to pit against Johnson will, in all probability be Bill Eang, the champion heavy-weight of Australia, who journeyed from Sydney to Reno to see the big fight, in company with Tommy Burns. Rang has been steadily improving as a fighter tor two years past. He has beaten Squires twice, and a few months ago defeated Fitzsimmons in twelve rounds. Burns defeated Tang in six rounds in September, 1906, but when they met again three months ago they fought out the full twenty rounds, Burns being declared the winner on points, a decision which was questioned by many who witnessed the encounter. Rang should know Johnson’s strength pretty well, as he was the black man’s sparring partner when the latter was training tor his fight with Burns in Sydney last year.
