The Manawatu Herald. Saturday, July 16, 1910. A MUCH-NEEDED FOOTPATH.

Wiv have been asked by several ratepayers to direct the Council’s attention to the necessity for a footpath or footpaths on cither side of Park Street, from the Avenue intersection to the school on one side and Thynne Street on the other. During wet weather pedestrians are compelled to pick their way through slush. This thoroughfare is used daily by the school children who are also seriously incouvenigaced. If we mistake not the Council passed a resolution months ago authorising the formation of these particular footways but, so far, the resolution has not been given effect to. We hope this reminder will be duly considered by the Works Committee and the request granted.
