The Rev. D. C. Bates wires a follows to-day:— * Southerly moderate to strong winds, backing; expect damp and cold weather ; rain probable ; river high ; glass unsteady, but there are indications for fall after 16 hours. Sea and tides moderate ; swell probable; sea increasing.
