A Women’s Freedom Eeague has been organised. Women’s athletic societies will provide jiujitsu experts to eject rowdies from suffragette meetings. Many women have joined the new league.

The Prime Minister, Mr Asquith, replying to rival suffragette deputations, said that owing to conflicting opinions the Government were not likely to introduce a Woman’s Suffrage Bill. A Private Member’s Bill was more suitable. Though the prospect of success of the measure at present before Parliament was remote, the House of Commons should have an opportunity of discussing it.
He added that he would submit the question to Cabinet[A Conciliation Committee, representing all parties in the House of Commons, has prepared a Bill, supported by both the front and back benches, enacting women’s Parliamentary suffrage on the basis of the existing Eocal Government Board register. The National Union of Women’s Suffrage Societies support the Bill.]
