THE WEATHER.
The Rev. D. C. Bates wires as follows to-day;— South easterly strong winds to gale, but there are indications for winds freshening after ten hours ; expect damp and cold weather, showery ; probably a very cold night; glass rise slowly; sea heavy ; tides moderate. There are indications for glass fall after 36 hours and westerly moderate to strong winds; winds freshening.
