Berun, June 9, The National Assembly of Brunswick unanimously protested against the terms of the Pope’s Encyclical, in connection with the centenary of Cardinal Borromeo, as being calculated to disturb the religious peace of Germany. [A Papal Encyclical on the tercentenary of Cardinal Borromeo contains a severe denunciation of Protestant reformers and their influence on modern times, stated a recent cablegram. This has led to vehement protests in Germany. Interpellations have been given notice of in the Prussian Diet, and an Evangelical mass meeting of protest will be held in Berlin on June X2.J
