MAGAZINE EXPLOSION.

CLAIM AGAINST AUCKLAND HARBOUR, BOARD. AUCKLAND, June 2. On November 10 last an explosion occurred on tile public powder magazine in the Auckland Harbour, by which the hulk and contents were entirely destroyed. There was a sequel to the occurrence to-day at tile Supreme Court, before Mr Justice Edwards, when Briscoe ami ('o.. Ltd., eiaimeil £1069 13s from thi< Auckland Harbour Board as damage for the value of explosives destroyed. The cast* lasted all day, and had not concluded at 10 p.m.. when the ('mill adjourned. Mr Skerrett. for the defendant hoard, applied for a nonsuit, his Honor reserving his decision on the points raised.
