FOXTON GASWORKS.

INSPECTED BY THE CHAIR MAN OF DIRECTORS.

Mr C. B. Norwood, chairman of directors of the Foxtou Gas Company, paid a visit of inspection to the local works last night and today, and found everything working satisfactorily. In conversation with onr representative, Mr t Norwood stated that he was particularly impressed with the excellent quality of the gas supplied for local consumption which compared favourably with the gas manufactured in any of the principal towns of the Dominion. Mr Norwood said the progress that had been made since the works had been put down far exceeded expectations. Provision had been made for a maximum manufacture of three million feet of gas per auuum, but if the consumptiou increased at the present ratio four million feet would be reached this year.
