BOWLING GREEN.

A meeting of the committee of the above was held in the Council Chamber on Thursday night. Present: —Messrs Stiles (chairman), Witchell (secretary), Dr. Mandl, Heunessy, Hornblow, Stunuell and Rimmer.—The Chairman reported that debentures had been taken up amounting to fijo. The question of fencing the section was discussed at length. It was pointed out that in order to carry out this and to do other necessary work a bank guarantee of would have to be obtained. The Chairman thought that there would be no difficulty in getting guarantors for the sum required, and it was finally resolved to fence the section with a 6ft corrugated iron fence and also to carry out necessary drainage. This work was entrusted to Mr Harrison. Other matters of importance were discussed and the meeting rose.
