WATER SUPPLY FROM LEVIN.

FOXTON’S REQUEST, DISCUSSED BY EEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIE. At a meeting of the Levin Borough Council, held last night, the question of supplying the Foxton borough with water from the Levin mains was discussed. The matter was discussed at some length, all those present being very favourably disposed towards the scheme, after which the following motion was carried unanimously : —“ That this Council, having had satisfactory evidence placed before it in regard to the water supply of the Ohau, is now prepared to enter into negotiations with the Foxton Borough Council to suppy the borough of Foxton with water from the Levin mains.” The Council then went into committee on the question of charges.
