ASSEMBLING THE ROYALTIES. THEY SAUTE THE QCEENMOTHER. EONDON, May 20. There was an imposing scene in the Buckingham Palace courtyard when the Royalties were assembling for the funeral. As Queen Alexandra, in a glass carriage, took her place in the procession all the Monarchs and Princes saluted. A similar compliment was paid with many brilliant spectacles as the splendid cavalcade, circling Parliament ■Square, entered the new Palace yard, where King Edward’s charger and favourite fox tender Caesar were standing behind the gun carriage.
The King. Kaiser, and Duke of Cole naught dismounted, and Queen Alexandra. and the Princess Victoria alighted. The Kaiser kissed Queen Alexandra and accompanied her to (lie hall. King George, the Duke of Connaught, and Princess Victoria following. After a short service, the collin was borne through the porch, the Archbishop of Canterbury's chaplain preceding it with a cross. The collin was adjusted to the gun carriage, and the procession started. THE PROCESSION. The order of the procession was as follows: Bands of Household Cavalry. Detachments of Territorials and Colonial troops, including King’s Colonials. Australians, and New Zealand representatives. All branches of the Army. Household Cavalry. Horse Artillery. Marines. Navy. Military attaches to foreign embassies. Ollieers of Austro-Hungarian, Bulgarian. and Danish armies. German Navy and Army. Norwegian and Portuguese armies, Russian. Spanish, and Swedish armies and navies. Six General Oflicers Commanding in Child. Field-Marshal Lord Kitchener. Eield-Marsha I Sir Evelyn Wood. I leadqna i ters Stall. The Army Council. Admirals Fawkes. Drury. Fanshawe. Seymour, Richards, Kerr, and Noel. Board of Admiralty. King Edward’s Naval and Military Aidcsdc-Camp. Four abreast. Bauds of the Marine Infanty, Guards. Engineers, and Artillery. His Majesty’s .suites. English Royal Princes. Duke of Norfolk. Lords Denman, Rosebery, Allendale. Althorp, and Beauchamp. Late King’s Equerries and Gentlemen-at-Arms. The gun carriage, bearing the coflin. On either side were the bearers, noncommissioned oflicers of the Guards. The carriage was drawn by eight horses, preceded by the full detachment of the Royal Horse Artillery and followed by the" Into King’s charger. Royal Standard carried by non-com-missioned oflicers of the Household Cavalry. King George, with the Kaiser on his right, hand and the Duke of Connaught ou his left. ALONG THE ROUTE. There were 55.500 dismounted and 1120 mounted troops lining the route in review order with colours, trumpets, and drums draped. . Mother s •Meetings, Primrose Habitations, and v'rphauages. Pall Mull, bt. dames street, and Rieadillv Club.- were draped in violet or black. Apsley and Grosveuor House were in purple. Tlie Uii/. amt Berkeley Hotels, and ihe majority ot the private lioum-s were similarly draped. , A great purple arch at Paddington was surnioiinteil by a Grown and •»- scribed “farewell. There were several big public .-lanes on the Horse Guards Parade, where the Dartmouth and Osborn Naval Cadets aud boys of ihe Greenwich Hospital School, also Hie Loloniul Office stand tor dislinguished visiting Colonials, i-jclmi ing bir William Russell, Drs. Levemge and McArthur, Mesdamcs RoUeston, t alleuder, aud Malcolm Ross, Judge Deuuistou, Messrs Thorne George, and Louissou, aud Lady Stout. At the windows of the Government Offices in Whitehall there were 150 Chelsea pensioners. At Whitehall the Yeomen of the Guard were stationed. Two thousand London Territorials were at the Marble Arch, and another 2000 near Apslev House. SOLEMN MUSIC.

Fifty destroyer.-; were 011 the river, aitd a. draft of four officers, eighteen peity oflicers and men. and seven stokers trom these wore joined to Road-Admiral .terrains’ Naval Brigade of 107 officers end 2750 of the fleet men and marines.
