TRY AGAIN LODGE, 1.0.G.T.
At the last regular meeting of the above Lodge the following members were duly iustalled as officers for the current quarter by the Lodge Deputy, Bro. W. S. Stewart, assisted by Bro. A. Withers as Installing Marshal: — P.C.T., Bro. G. H. Smith ; C.T., Bro. Alex. Rimmer ; V.T., Bro. H. Podmore; Chap., Sist. M. Walker; Secretary, Bro. E. Walker; F.S., Bro. W. Currie; Tr. Bro. Stewart; M., Bro. W. Smith ; Seat., Bro. L. Smith. Bro. Edward Walker, whose diligence and attention to his duty as caretaker of the G.T. Hall during the past quarter was very tavourably commented on, was re-ap-pointed caretaker. We are pleased to learn that the financial position of the Lodge is thoroughly satisfactory, and that the number of members iu good standing and regular attendauce is steadily increasing. Although the population of Foxtou is to some extent migratory, when one member leaves the district or the Lodge there are usually two to make up the loss, and so the good work goes steadily on iu the quiet, unostentatious fashion that has become a characteristic feature of the working of the Try Again Lodge—to those who know it. A very pleasant incident iu the agreeable monotony of lodge work was a recent fraternal visit from the Hope of Shannon Lodge, headed by the C.T. Sister VVickliffe, and the acting C.T., Bro. Gibb, who is a veritable host in himself. Bro. Gibb is the Divinity student at present iu charge of the Presbyterian district of Shannon, and is endowed with a rare fund of energy, enthusiasm, and “ the saving grace ” ot fun. The visitors numbered fifteen, and enjoyed a very good lime.
