“MIZPAH.”
A recent notice on this wonderfully successful drama says : “Mizpah is wonderfully well acted by the different members of the Taylor-Carrington dramatic company, and the staging is most beautiful. Mr Charlie Taylor as an Irish corporal, is as interesting in character as old Jaikes in the Silver King, and Miss Carrington as an American widow in search of a husband gave a wonderfully amusing character performance. Several new members of the company appeared to considerable advantage, and the serious characters were presented in such a conducting manner as to command both interest and applause. The plot is romantic but by no means improbable, and the sensational incidents are both, realistic and effective. Altogether “Mizpah” is a great success, and adds another strong attraction to the Taylor - Carrington repertoire. “Mizpah” will be produced at the Public Hall on Saturday, the 21st inst.
