DIES ALMOST PENNILESS. Nkw York, March 19. Miss Louise Montague, advertised throughout the world thirty years ago as the most beautiful woman in America, and winner ot a /p 2,000 prize beauty contest, has died in a small apartment house in New York, alone and almost penniless. She was discovered by Adam Koivpatigh, Hanmm’s greatest circus rider. He started a 000 beauty contest, and alter awarding the prize to Miss Montague, made he 1 the principal feature of his show. She reclined on a golden chariot in the street processions, and exhibited herself in the circus. All America went mad over her, as the most perfect model of womanhood the United States had produced. Later Miss Montague went on the stage, utilising her excellent soprana voice and her dramatic ability in musical comedy. She was tlie rage for a number ot years, and then drifted back into private life lo die forgotten.
