LONDONERS MAKE A PILGRIMAGE. SERVICE AT ST. PAUL’S. LONDON, May 8. Thousands of Londoners arc making a pilgrimage to-day to gaze at tho Roys’ Standard floating at half-mast and ll white blinds of tho many-windowed Palace. They are gathering particularly at the Western end, where the chamber in which the King died is situated. A special service was held at St. Paul's this afternoon similar to that on tho occasion of Queen Victoria’s death. Tho aid hem was Brahm’s requiem “Behold all is Mesh.” Tho congregation included Lord and Lady Crewe, Mrs Amjuith, Mr L. Ilareourt. and others.
