THE KING’S HEALTH.
GIVES CAUSE FOR ANXIETY.
STATEMENT BY DOCTORS
London, May 5
King Edward is suffering from a severe bronchial attack and has been confined to his room for the last two days.
Queen Alexandra has returned to London from her Mediterranean tour.
Doctors Laking, Reid and Sir R. Douglas Powell, who are attending the King, announce that his condition causes some anxiety. The ceremonies incidental to Queen Alexandra’s return to London were curtailed in order to prevent delay in reaching the palace, where the Prince of Wales has been spending the larger part of the last two days. The wet and foggy weather of the past week has interfered with improved condition of health brought about by his Majesty’s stay at Biarritz, in the south of France.
