FOOTBALL.
On Saturday afternoon the Albion senior team journeyed to Shannon and played a draw with the Shannon Club’s seniors, the scores being three points all. The game was a most interesting one, but was marred to a great extent by rough play. It is a pity that footballers do not always “ play the game,” as there is nothing that will more readily bring the game into disrepute as unnecessary roughness on the field of play.
The junior match Shannon v. Albion, was played on the racecourse, and resulted, after a most disappointing display of football, in a win for the home team by 10 points to nil. Mr Robinson refereed. A W A HO U tTa N NUAL, MEETING.
