POWELKA.
Palmerston North, April 24. At the Police Court, Palmerston next Friday, Powellca will be brought up on the charges that were preferred against him prior to his escape from the gaol here. On the following Monday he will be brought forward on charges relating to matters which have happened since he escaped from Wellington. The stipendiary magistrate has not yet fixed a date on which the charge of murdering Sergeant Maguire will be heard. Mr Gifford Moore will appear for Powelka.
