STAMP COLLECTOR IN TROUBLE.
Invercargill, April 20
Frederick Osborne Lepine, clerk in the Land Transfer Office at Invercargill, was this morning committed for trial by Mr Cruickshauk, S.M., on a charge of theft of a number of documents, the property of the Department. Accused’s explanation was that he had taken them in order to remove the stamps, of which he was a collector.
