MORE PALMERSTON FIRES.

Two more fires occurred at Palmerston North yesterday. The first completely destroyed the Palmerston North Sash, Door, and Timber Compauy’s large factory, in Albert Street. The building aud plant were insured for £2OOO, and the joinery in the building for £SOO. A risk ol £4OOO was held bn the timber in both yards, but £IOO will cover the loss sustained there-

During the afternoeu another fire broke out in Pollard’s stables, Terrace End. The building was considerably damaged and a large quantity of chaff destroyed. The damage is estimated at The scene of the second fire is in the locality where Powelka is believed to have been operating during the past few days.
