ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Auckland, April 8. John Saunders, a wharf labourer, injured by a bag of sugar falling on him while working cargo on the steamer Witnmera, died in the Hospital last night. He was a married man, 45 years ot age. Taihape, April 8. An inquest was held at Taurangarere yesterday on a Maori child aged 2 years and 4 mouths, daughter of Te Heraa, who wandered away from her grandfather’s house and fell into the river. A verdict of accidental death was returned.
