FOOTBALL.
ALBION CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Albion Football Club was held in the Manawatu Hotel on Thursday evening. Mr F'. D. Whibley presided, and there was a most satisfactory attendance of members. The annual balance-sheet, showing a debit balance of ,£i us 6d, was read and adopted. This was considered very satisfactory, as the Club had commenced the previous year with a debt of £5 7s 6d.
Several players from Moutoa were in attendance, and stated that it had first been intended to form a club at Moutoa, but the players there had since decided to abandon the idea, and join the Albion Club. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:
Patron, Mr O. Robinson ; president, Mr J. Puti ; vice-presidents, Messrs Dr, Adams, Hadfield, Horublow, Franklaud, Stiles, Newman, Healey, Stevens, Gower, Kellow, Witchell, Reeve, Munro, Ball and Walker ; secretary and treasurer, Mr P. T. Robinson; selection committee, Messrs Robinson, Puti and the captain. Delegates to Sub-Union, Messrs Robinson, Curtis, Cook, Puli and Winiata.
The election of captain and viceeaptaiu was held over. The membership fee was fixed at five shillings, this sum to include insurance. It was decided to endeavour to arrange a match with the Himataugi Club on Saturday, April 16th.
Votes of thanks to the chair, and to Mr Had field for the use of the room, concluded the meeting.
