FIRE IN DANCE ROOM.

A dancing-room iu the inn at Oekoerito, a village iu Hungary, was destroyed by fire. Two hundred and fifty persons were killed, the blazing roof burying many. Vienna, March 29.
The dancing-room at Oekoerito was a barulike structure. It was decorated with pine branches, which, having been used for a former entertainment, were dry as tinder. They bore Chinese lanterns and burning candles.
After the ticket-holders had been admitted, the single uarrpw doqr to the building was nailed up to prevent unauthorised persons from obtaining access. When the fire broke out, the flames spread with astounding rapidity. The dancers, ablaze, crushed and trampled on each other in their rush to the door, which remained closed,
The fall of the roof completed the tragedy. Four hundred meg, women, and children were killed or badly burned.
